From the best musical performances to the most creative art installations to over-the-top parties, Coachella is a weekend of heightening the senses. I have always been a creative, so Coachella is one of my favorite weekends of the year! The best way to describe Coachella is that it is like Disney World for adults – I run around constantly discovering something exciting and new.
I started my weekend with Bumble where I am a proud Bumble Bizz ambassador. Bumble teamed up with other brands such as Dirty Lemon and Equinox at the Korakia Pensione Hotel in Palm Springs for a weekend long invite-only pool party where you could snag delicious cocktails and bites plus enjoy other activities such as getting glammed up by BeGlammed. I couldn’t resist having my makeup and hair done. Check out my bomb fishtail braid below!
Following Bumble’s pool party, I headed to day 1 of the festival. As soon as our crew arrived, we decided to explore the grounds and discover this year’s art installations. My personal favorite was Supernova by Roberto Bear and Rosario Marquardt of R&R Studios. It is the colorful star-like structure pictured below. The Supernova art installation was an explosion of color and light meant to exude hope and optimism. At night it actually created a light show that was almost euphoric! Other installations on the grounds included a tall prism architectural building called Spectra by Newsubstance, a series of 3 bird-cage like buildings called Etherea by Edoardo Tresoldi and a spaceship-like metal structure called Palm-3 World Station by Simon Vega. You can see all pictured below. We ended day 1 at the Weeknd’s concert at the Main Stage, which was excellent!
Day 2 and 3 were spent out by the pool relaxing ahead of going to the festival. We enjoyed frosé’s and too much guacamole. Both days our group headed to the festival around 5pm in anticipation of the long nights given headliners don’t come on until 11pm. The best performances of the weekend were, without question, Beyonce, Eminem and Cardi B. Bey reunited with Destiny’s Child and sang some of the classics such as my fave “Say My Name” and, of course, Jay-Z came out at the end of her performance. There is a reason Beyonce is the queen – she is one of the best performers of all time! I had chills the entire performance! Watch some highlights from her performance here.
Eminem brought out 50 Cent and Dr. Dre which was the best surprise ever, especially if you are as obsessed with rap as me! The crowd went wild with 50 performing “In Da Club” – watch it here. And, last by certainly not least, Cardi B did not disappoint. The babe is pregnant, but that didn’t stop her from twerking on stage. Do yourself a huge favor and watch her kill it here.
