Here is the fourth and final post from my honeymoon vacation: Honeymoon Part 4: Seychelles!
What better way to end a honeymoon than relaxing on a remote beach off the coast of Africa. The Seychelles are a series of islands known for having lush land and crystal clear water. I have always wanted to go so I figured our honeymoon was the perfect opportunity. We personally wanted a mix of adventure and relaxation on our honeymoon, so starting it out in Kenya with UNICEF and safari and then ending it relaxing in the Seychelles was the perfect combo.
We stayed at the Four Seasons Seychelles which is located on the main island Mahe. We chose the Four Seasons because of its location, which includes a private beach, and five-star rating. We also loved the fact that each villa includes a personal pool, hot tub, outdoor shower and cabana. While we didn’t spend all of our time in our room (we easily could have!), we did enjoy days on the beach where the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. We even took a private cocktail making class one day thanks to the manager offering! We also enjoyed private yoga sessions and days at the luxury spa which is located at the tip top of the resort and has the most incredible views.
We also took a boat out one day to snorkel and explore other islands. Our favorite island by far was La Digue which is known for its calm, clear water, isolated beaches and large granite rock formations. It is a biking island, so we really loved exploring on our bikes. We even biked through a vanilla farm. Ultimately, we ended up at the south end of the island on a private beach where we enjoyed fresh coconut water straight out of the coconuts and a nice swim. It was truly paradise!
For those of you considering safari and/or Seychelles for your honeymoon or just your next vacation. I promise you that it will be the trip of a lifetime. We contemplated so many various locations for our honeymoon and could not be happier with what we chose!
Shoutout to Locale Traveler for helping us plan the trip of our dreams!
