Along with keeping a daily gratitude journal this year, I have decided to focus on taking more adventures, which started with a beautiful winter sleigh ride in Aspen.
I have always been an adventurer at my core and there are few things as great as adventures where you are surrounded by nature. As you likely know by now, Aspen is my favorite domestic travel destination and for good reason. There is so much to do in Aspen no matter what time of year it is. In the winter, you can ski, apres ski, snow-shoe, take a dog sleigh ride or take a horse drawn sleigh deep into the forest to enjoy lunch or dinner at Pine Creek Cookhouse, one of the best local restaurants.
I had never done the Pine Creek Cookhouse sleigh ride and decided there was no better way to kick off the New Year. I got my parents and a couple of friends on board and we drove out to a lodge where we met a young cowboy and his horses. We hopped on the horse-drawn sleigh and had the most incredible afternoon in a winter wonderland. Once we made it to Pine Creek Cookhouse, we hopped out and enjoyed hot chocolate and a delightful lunch.
It was an incredible experience and is now one of my favorite Aspen winter activities! It is a must if you are traveling to Colorado anytime soon!
