A week ago today, on the eve of International Women’s Day, I hosted the first ever Starling Project Supper with my friend, fellow solar activist and Victoria Secret model Grace Mahary. It was such an incredible candlelit evening with the most impressive group of women.
The dinner was meant to represent collective action which is at the core of The Starling Project brand. If you don’t know already, I started The Starling Project candle collection as a way to help others work with me to give back. The Starling Project helps provide solar energy to rural communities in need through organizations like UNICEF.
Dinner parties are one of my favorite things to host in my spare time and they can be a super effective way to spread a meaningful message. In this case, we focused on solar energy and all that it can do. I also am proud to officially announce the launch of our newest candle scent: Hyacinth + Bamboo. It may be the best in the collection! Purchase yours at starlingproject.org.
Thank you to Symbology Clothing for dressing both Grace and me, Blushington for doing my makeup, Kola House for providing the venue and fantastic food and PopUp Florist for the beautiful flowers!
Also, a huge thank you to Downtown Mag NYC for featuring our amazing event. Read the article here: http://www.downtownmagazinenyc.com/sterling-mcdavid-hosts-the-first-starling-supper-at-kola-house-with-special-guests/
