My New York apartment in Tribeca was so incredibly special to me! When I moved to New York in 2011, I knew I wanted to make an investment in an apartment, especially because the market was still in a rut at that time causing prices to be lower than usual. With New York rents being sky high, I figured out that with the low interest rates, I could buy something and finance it at a low rate so that I could avoid throwing money away by renting. It took many months to find the right place, but the moment I walked into the One York apartment building, I knew it was the right place. After quite a bit of negotiation, I purchased the apartment at what I believed to be the right price. I thoroughly enjoyed living at One York for five years. Seriously so many good memories at my apartment including dinner parties, brunches and, of course, hosting weekend guests from out of town. But a few months ago, I decided it was the right time to sell my first home. It was very bittersweet, but definitely the right decision. My fiance and I are getting married in August, so we have decided we would like to find a new NYC home together. Good news is that that means I get to design another place! We are currently on the search for our new home, so more to come on that later, but I wanted to share my first NYC home with you here. Just do me a favor and don’t judge the design please. I was only 22 when I picked out the furniture and that was prior to attending Parsons to study architecture and interior design. I did do some nice renovations to the bathrooms though. Hope you enjoy my New York apartment!
